Clearing up MANY MISCONCEPTIONS
ok, on the 28th of September, Wanda wrote:

--this is only to shoot zhikang. not anyone or any school. i believe chs is a good school, too bad it has students like him. sigh.

I SHALL REBUTT HIS `LIL ENTRY FOR THE SAKE OF STANDING UP FOR IP! hmppff.. though im not in ac, or ri, or rg, i do know that they DESERVE whatever they have, and what ever they learn, is most probably more that you!! hmpff.

1. you jealous isit? huh? too bad larh. in the first place, IP schools cant be judged because of their curriculum. their teaching methods OBVIOUSLY will be different. optional then? when was it optional. sheesh. optional THEN~! hah! no body said whether SQC or SQA was A YARDSTICK that measures how good a school is? [im not contradicting, but how come chs still has students coming in, and saying that its a good school?] well, since st.margs got a VALUE ADDED AWARD, how come we're still ranked 30-plusplusplus?

2. as for your "More space to explore our interests, more space to think, more space to speak out and more space to do what we want to. With the introduction of the Major Research Paper (MRP) , we are given the opportunity to do research in the humanities that we like. " dont we all get to do that? we're all new in the programme. dont we get to speak out too? don't we get projects and do what we want to do? dont think that your school is the only schoool with the "MRP" . too bad our's is a different name. hows about spire? OR, PROJECT WORK? its the same!!oh well.. am i supposed to go "oooh, too bad you're doing humanities?" sheesh.

3. so you have your "Sabbaticals" well, some schools have it under their PW, and they have it year round cos its their project. sheesh.

nevermind. im too pissed. sheesh. I KNOW ONE THING, AND THAT IS I KNOW NOTHING.
man cannot be judged only by what knwoledge they've obtained. can they? hows about experiences? or feelings? surely you cant measure that, can you. lets say that you went for a research attachment, so did your friend. are you going to say that you two have obtained X amt of knowledege and experience, are you? doesntt make sense right. nvm.

OKAE, i shall seek to clarify wadever has been written here:

Responding to point 1: No, i am NOT jealous. I AM ANGRY and PISSED about this whole thing. When MOE first started wif SEA and SQC, they said it was optional. That was a year or so ago? I am not sure about the exact date. Now if you read the MOE release carefully, IP schools WILL be 'RANKED' according to the awards they receive. Furthermore, when MOE was asked about why my school isn't exactly anywhere, they said we were not qualified. THIS STATEMENT IS HIGHLY UNFAIR! They could have explained that some schools have not completed external appraisal yet.

Responding to point 2: Well, I AM NOT CRITICISING OTHER SCHOOL'S PROGRAMMES. Well, the point is, MRP is replacing exams for Humanities. Please tell me which other IP school is doing that rite now? And i do not doubt that other schools are doing lotsa PW. so that's it.

Responding to point 3: SABBATICALS IS NOT PROJECT WORK. It is one week of the term, set aside for us to attend enrichment courses.

Actually, she's saying wad i want to:

"man cannot be judged only by what knwoledge they've obtained. can they? hows about experiences? or feelings? surely you cant measure that, can you. lets say that you went for a research attachment, so did your friend. are you going to say that you two have obtained X amt of knowledege and experience, are you? doesntt make sense right."

FOR THE SAME REASON, SCHOOLS CANNOT BE JUDGED FOR THE AWARDS THEY WIN RIGHT? HOW ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES THEY OFFER? HOW ABOUT LEADING PRACTICES IN LOCAL EDUCATION? btw, i did not want to say this at first but now i have to. from reliable sources, i've heard that some school's programme is just making all their pupils go through the GE Programme. so in actual fact it shldnt be called IP, just call it GEP.

that's all i have to say for now, back to physics...
